I haven't been saying much here lately. It's mostly been going on over at the ol' Facebook, to which I am addicted like I was on crack cocaine, but "I can quit anytime."
This week, I went and got rolfed by Jessa at Brooklyn Rolfing. I had jacked up my knee on the slopes a few weeks ago (which I mentioned) and incredibly, one session worked it out, though that's not even why I went in the first place. For those who don't know, I broke my femur in 1986 and have been somewhat affected ever since. One leg is longer than the other, one foot is smaller in the other, and there's a great deal of old scar tissue and muscle atrophy that I think can be worked out so my leg feels better and doesn't end up causing me major back and hip problems when I'm older. Rolfing and exercising differently can fix that and even after one session, it's already starting to. Nine more are planned.
Last weekend was spent in the Birkshires but no skiing or snowboarding occurred. There was, however, lots of eating and sleeping which is apparrently just what I needed. This weekend is The Armory Show Weekend (which also includes Scope and Pulse)! I've gone every year since I've lived in New York and wrote about it in 2005, 2006, and 2007. Last year, which went unmentioned apparently, Chris and I went and had a great time (remember the girl getting tattooed in that insane performance art piece?), though I am going to be checking the shows by myself for the most part this year. If anyone wants to meet up though, let me know.
