I've done a lot of traveling in my day but I don't seem to venture as far and wide as I used to. I think it may be because I like exploring the same places more deeply more than trying to absorb a new place, but then again, it may be because I just don't have as much time as I used to.
Kottke compiled a list of where he traveled this year, just as he did last year, and just as I was inspired to do the same last year, I've compiled a list of where I traveled this year. I spent one of more nights in each place and the ones marked with asterisks were visited multiple times on non-consecutive days
I also went to Pennsylvania, Chicago, and Kansas City, KS several times on non-consecutive days, but didn't stay overnight.
Perhaps this will be the year when I travel more? Conditions in my life are certainly right for it. There's been talk of visiting Spain for several years as well as well as interest in going someplace tropical, but then again, San Francisco and Dallas, both places I've lived, seem more attractive all the time.
